My friend has swelling in her hands and feet, any advice on what is causing it?

She is 22, she does have a history of problems with her female organs. She has not had an actual period in a couple of months, just spotting for like a day she says. She has been to two gyno's and had pregnancy tests done by both and they all come out negative. They have given her some pill to make her have a period to help with the bloating and it has not worked, they then advised her to take a diuretic to help with the water retention and that made her swell. She woke up this morning with swollen hands and feet. This morning it looked like she didn't even have a wrist and she couldn't wear her wedding rings. She called her doctor's nurse and told her about the swelling and she told her to quit taking the diuretic because apparently it was having an adverse affect on her. She also has an issue with her bladder where she has to cath 4 times a day because her bladder does not empty like it should. My question is does anyone know of a health issue that pertains to swelling, periods not coming and a bladder issue? I have tried to do research for her but have had no luck. Please help us! Thanks! Any advice can put us in the right direction. These doctors just can't figure anything out for her and she is starting to get frusterated.
