Is anyone been asking God for something, and the answer does not come, and then what?>?>?

anyone here been asking God for something like the due rent or something that was needed right then, and did not get an affirmative answer to your logic, and left you with the feeling of and thoughts of why God, why me, and then months or years later saw God in that same situation and how God had worked in their lives, even if it affected them adversly???? any experiences to impart here, thanks for any and all comments
