Re my question: "Baby Boomers only: What is this Sixties song?"?

Thanks everyone for their answers. The mystery is solved. A few minutes ago stumbled across THAT EXACT RECORDING by complete accident: it's "The Overture to Tommy The Rock Opera" by the embled Multitudes! Holy ---- I thought I'd never find that song piece again... and those huge bells do start at 00:49 into the song, just the way I remembered. Thanks everyone, and thanks to whoever quietly wished for me to find it (you know who you are!) now I know and own the recording YAY :D
