Job Interviews: Are there any companies who are relaxed about their job interviews?

Yes, there are - or at least the company I work for is that way. My interview process was intensive but on production not on looking like a store mannequin. I went through 3 interviews to get my position (training & doentation specialist), the last one with 3 people at once. While I was, as you say, well groomed, I wasn't dressed to the nines and had not just stepped out of the hairdresser's shop. I was hired on my ability to perform the tasks needed, not on my "hip-ness" of wardrobe. You'll find pony-tailed and dread-locked folks, overweight & underweight people, folks who wear clothes from 10 years ago and the latest trends - many types here. What they have in common is dedication to the job, and they're all clean about their person and polite to co-workers.
