How is it possible to cheat on Magic the Gathering on Xbox Live?

I have yet to win a game on magic the gathering. It seems as the gamers I'm playing against are able to just bring out any creature,instants,and sorcery cards without them possibly having them in their hand or having enough manna to do so.
