Is it possible to convert manual treadmill to motorized one ?

I am a mechanical engineer and with the right parts and a machine shop I can make the thing motorized, it just won't be worth the cost involved for customizing it. It will be cheaper to go buy a m production treadmill than to customize the one you have.
