I am a Christian and only believe in the one true God. But I do find many of the pagan deities fascinating.?

I am especially fond of the Greek and Egyptian goddesses. I do not worship them, but I do find the legends based on them interesting. I guess you could say that I see them more as mythical superheroes than I do as real historical figures. My two favorites are Aphrodite and Sekhmet. I have small statues of both these goddesses on my dresser. Its the attributes of these deities that I am attracted to. Aphrodite was believed to be a beautiful goddess of love and Sekhmet, a strong and fearless goddess of protection. But, I get a lot of flak from my family for having these statues. They say I am commiting idolatry. They know I do not worship them, but they say it does not matter. Is what I am doing a sin? Please, I need to know! xoxoxo
