Would you consider repenting of all of your sins on your deathbed if it meant you would go to heaven?

I read a book that said only the deepest conversion will 'get to heaven' (if that's how you want to put it). So an intellectual 'repentance' wouldn't mean much. According to this I think I heart- level repentance/conversion/whatever is true enough even if it was on your deathbed.
