Whats so bad about military tribunals? Why does AG Holder want some terrorists tried in civilian courts?

Best I can figure, he wants those guilty of performing an attack in the US tried by civilian courts and those guilty of attacks abroad(Cole, etc.) tried by tribunals. It's a small difference, not one I am particularly upset about. What I want is for all of them to GET trials, instead of being held without charges in perpetuity.
